| NA procures raw materials for its copper production worldwide. The largest part of the raw material input consists of imported
copper concentrates that NA obtains primarily on the basis of long-term supply arrangements directly from copper mines in various countries of origin. Copper concentrates are processed in Hamburg exclusively.

| Furthermore, various kinds of copper scrap, copper alloy scrap and other recycling materials are treated in Hamburg, but first and foremost in Lünen. These materials are procured in Europe, but also worldwide markets, based on short term contracts. In the list of various
recycling materials include copper residues and drosses, slags and metallic dusts, but also circuit boards and materials from the waste management sector, such as slimes and spent catalysts. |
